Dr. Catherine Collings is director of lifestyle medicine and president-elect of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She is a member of El Camino Medical Associates and leads the Lifestyle Medicine practice for El Camino Health Primary Care offices.
Lifestyle medicine is a medical specialty combining some of the very best characteristics of traditional medicine with the life-changing impact of lifestyle behaviors on health outcomes and patient vitality. It uses specific evidence-based lifestyle changes to prevent or treat chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
Dr. Collings has dual board certifications in lifestyle medicine and cardiology. She holds a graduate degree in exercise physiology, as well as culinary and wellness coaching certifications, and received her education from the University of California, Davis, University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Stanford University Medical Center.
She has been part of the El Camino Health community for 25 years as a respected clinical cardiologist and now focuses exclusively on lifestyle medicine consultations and directing all lifestyle medicine services. Her personal interests include active sports, cooking, and adventure travel with family and friends.

She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and she works both in the hospital setting with brand new families, NICU babies, and returning patients to our Lactation Clinic. Chelsea also does private consulting for a nonprofit in Santa Monica, CA serving mostly underprivileged families, and is a co-owner of Orobaby; which is an online platform for lactation support through the telehealth platform. Chelsea supports families with natural infant feeding on pregnancy (with prenatal assessments and plan development) through weaning and everything in between.
